Role 

  • Implement and manage an effective compliance program which satisfies Singaporean regulations and requirements
  • Advise Group Compliance and management as to the company’s and Group’s compliance with applicable regulatory regimes
  • Business partner with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure smooth implementation of continuous improvement projects
  • Oversee the function in performing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring on an on-going basis, including detection and reporting of suspicious transactions and activities
  • Work closely with control functions to develop and enhance the existing governance around AML including new policies and procedures, process enhancement etc
  • Provide AML advisory support and support AML projects and initiatives
  • Conduct periodic process, transactional, and safety audits and validations, with appropriate reporting to internal and external auditors and senior management
  • Address all communications, queries, and audits from local government authorities
  • Implement appropriate compliance controls and tools, including working with Compliance technology support to address any gaps identified
  • Collaborate with regional Compliance and Legal teams, including Operations, Risk and Technology teams to implement Compliance policies and procedures. Provide input on requirements, risks and opportunities
  • Drive and execute key Compliance initiatives and projects
Requirement:
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree of Law, International Business, Finance or related discipline preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience effectively managing Compliance programs and processes, and regulations in a regulated financial service business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English & Chinese, including Mandarin is preferred
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to partner closely with internal key stakeholders
  • Experience working with key regulators in APAC, e.g. MAS, ASIC, HKSFC
  • Solid understanding of electronic trading platforms and payment service providers would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of and interest in blockchain systems would be an advantage
